Sputink: Dozens of US trucks cross the border from Syria to the Kurdistan Region


Dozens of US trucks crossed the Syrian-Iraqi border today towards the Kurdistan region.

Almost 100 large trucks carrying US flags carrying weapons and military equipment crossed the city of Al-Hasakah from the southern side of it on its way to the northeastern areas of Al-Hasakah province, where the Simalka crossing is illegal with the Kurdistan region, the / Sputink/ Agency reported.

It added: “The US convoy, whose final destination is not yet clear, was coming from the city of Shadadi south of Hasaka, and from the areas of the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, where there are US bases.”

The transit of the US military convoy coincided with the announcement of the US-Turkish agreement to suspend the Turkish military operation in northeast Syria, “spring of peace,” and the announcement of the US Vice President that it is no longer necessary for the presence of the US military in Syria.

US Vice President Mike Pence has announced an agreement with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan for a ceasefire in northeastern Syria.
