Battle of Mosul: preparations and motivations

Vanguards of the next confrontation with Iraqi security and military forces and fighters of state organization began to come one after the other and increased in the vicinity of the city of Mosul on a daily basis according to the media, military , economic and social formulas, and several forms and patterns were taken represented by using the media side to guide the people of the city following the caution methods and not closer to the places and locations of the existence of its fighters and to take all the ways of personal protection for civilians to be away from all things that may harm them or lead to their destruction as a result of continuing of military operations toward their city.
the broad economic blockade , carried out by the international coalition aircrafts by constant bombing to the Syrian-Iraqi borders and places and regions linked between the Syrian city Alraqqah through the border and to the city of Mosul , had a significant impact on the stoppage of food and its scarcity in the city ‘s markets and lack the most basic decent living requirements with the loss of medicines and medical supplies needed by the citizens and the elderly, as the military forces were trying to make an attrition to its fighters and open several fronts and create a military headquarters near and surrounding the city and engaging fighters by daily offensive and confrontations and targeting them and this is also what has sought by the military formation of the organization in directing several blows or send fighters – Angemasin to attack the headquarters and the military formations set up by the Iraqi Ministry of defense , or used by the military command of the Kurdish fighters north of the city, specifically in the areas of (Makhmour and northern district of Tel- Afar, Sinjar, Nineveh plain) on purpose of proving the power of organization and tighten their military entrenchments and try to deploy their fighters on many fronts and in all areas which could accessible.
The reflection of the current confrontation with the state organization fighters to sustain the momentum of the battle of Mosul:
1. The continuing of military confrontation and prepare for the first page that focuses on the continuing of aerial bombardment by the international coalition aircrafts at all levels and the targeting of the existence of state regulation fighters inside the city of Mosul, regions and districts where they exist in addition to addressing weapons and rocket launchers seized by the previous battles fought against the formations of the Iraqi army and popular crowd in the provinces of Iraq , which is witnessing a military conflict between the two parties and to address all the places taken by the organization as the walls and ambushes to face any progress for the formations of the Iraqi Ministry of defense or Kurdish fighters (Peshmerga sites ) , and it has began by initial preparation of bombing important places and targeting military sites for the organization , and Rawabet center for Research and strategic Studies Center was able to get a field important information by special military sources that confirmed the fact of preparations that preceded the beginning of the ongoing military operations which are taken place now on the field ground in accordance with the actual actions occurred and happened and formed the first picture of the events and we can summarize it as follows:
a. On the date of March 19 , 2016 , Air international Alliance targeted the city of Mosul and its surrounding areas by (8) sorties killed 18 fighters of the organization and the destruction of an important center for the gathering of the state fighters with hiding place for weapons and platform for anti-aircraft missiles and burning two vehicles and the people in it and the two sites for launching rockets .
B.On the date of March 19 , 2016 , it has been targeting a site for launching rockets near Sinjar and killing their cadres.
c. at the time 100 on 20 March 2016 the French aircraft involved within the aviation of international coalition targeted the destruction of the media points of the state regulation in the city of Mosul ( media point in the forest area near the Bab of Al Mosul University Stadium , the door of the Faculty of Science ,the Risala area , the Sumer neighborhood cycle , the door of altoob and martyrs ‘ Park and cycle Fair Lady , the cycle of Amahrooq area , the neighborhood of 17 July and neighborhood of Yarmouk).
D.On the date of March 20 , 2016 the international coalition aircrafts carried out (2) two sorties on the city of Mosul targeted to destroy a defensive position , the number are (2) positions with its personnel and their equipment.
e .on the date of March 20 , 2016 the international coalition aircrafts targeted Tal Afar Center by (6) sorties that have led to the destruction of (3) rocket launchers with the killing of its members and the destruction of a defensive site and a number of mortars and ammunition .
F. on the date of March 20 , 2016 , a platform for firing rockets was targeted near the vicinity of Sinjar, led to the destruction of it and killing its crew.
g. on the date of 21 March 2016, (5) fighters Angmasien of state regulation wearing explosive belts targeted the headquarters of ( division 15) in the Makhmour center.
2. To confront an attempt of the advancement of elements of the organization on the areas surrounding the city of Mosul and engaging military and security troops , which began to spread on the outskirts of the city and its surroundings in the areas of ( Makhmour and Qayyarah) and targeted them by operations and confrontations to constitute a case of attrition and stop the stated military goals.
3. To address the forces that are called ( the reserve forces) , which are preparing for the battle of Mosul, which part of it are brought and announced about their presence now , in the areas surrounding district of Qayyarah , south of Mosul.
4. Taking part of fighters who have been prepared for the battle of Mosul from Iraqi army units , federal police and the units of the fight against terrorism and prepare them and prepare plans of the fighters to ensure the success of their mission to restore the city of Mosul and in coordination with the command of the international coalition and to address all the military activities that may occur and to find ways to respond to them.
5. Preparing scheme of the stages of the implementation of Mosul operation on the ground and using the progress across the land south of Mosul , specifically in terms of Qayyarah and under the supervision and coordination of the US – Iraqi joint and international air cover by the command of the coalition to protect the military progress of Iraqi forces and its vehicles and equipment and its members.
6. The aim and objectives of the security and military forces are to protect and secure the Qayyarah -Hamam -alaleel toward the city of Mosul , with the consistent of this progress in coordination with the military units that are moving within the areas of the Aljazera (island) to reach their targets South Ahadher area( urban) to be able to meet in parallel with the forces coming from the axis south of Mosul starting from Qayyarah and the formation of a parallel line to support the advanced military units around the city of Mosul and its outskirts.
7. all field information indicates that the targeting of the organization ‘s leaders and killed them by aerial bombardment strategy or special operations can not affect the organization effectively and firmly because the leadership of the organization has always sought to the operation of the fast (transformation and compensation) which this trend is of the confrontation requirements and of military work procedures and special confrontation of the organization and what the organization believes in.
8.theorganization depends on the combat procedure that it is ( the organizational ability of the group and domestic support) , a procedure adopted by the organization at all stages of its existence on the ground of the field reality and treat each event that happened quickly based on the experience gained in the battles fought in Iraq, and that the idea is based on that if you have the ability to kill leaders of the organization and targeted them, you must be able to the disintegration of the state organization and undermine the domestic support for them.
9.the Kurdish military command of fighters of Kurds (Peshmerga) would have the best chance to progress of the axis extending from the northern city of Mosul , which is now called (Nineveh plain) and surrounding areas and there will be a support for them by the representatives of the national and tribal crowd of the fighters and the people of the city and the protection and air support of the command of the international coalition.
10. Kurds seek to control all the Nineveh plain areas , a geographical area of the province of Nineveh located north and west of the city of Mosul and consists of three districts are (Hamdania and sheikhs and Tilkaif) and regions belong to it (Bartila , Ain Sifni , Ba’shiqah , Karmales ,Tlsagv and Alqosh) and then targeting the existence of the state’ s fighters in it and extend their influence and control in these areas , and progress toward the city of Mosul and entered to it by several axes and in coordination with the southern axis , which progresses from the side of of Qayyarah.
These are the most important axes and images of the military preparations and motives for the restoration of the city of Mosul and pictures of the first confrontation , Will military and security forces and Kurdish forces be able to carry out their pages and combat with the help of US forces and the leadership of the international coalition, or whether we will see there are a field surprises and military confrontations and special Angmasah operations by its fighters to stop the advancement of the military units and prevent it from achieving its aims of the restoration of the city of Mosul?
